Here is another great set from Jump Recordings own Arturo Garces. Born and raised in San Jose, California, Arturo Garces has been surrounded by dance music his entire life. The son of a serious collector of funk, soul and disco records, Arturo grew up listening to the roots of house music. These early influences are evident in his works as a DJ and producer today. After getting hold of a sampler in 1995 Arturo has gone on to release music on labels such as Subliminal, Jump Recordings, Solid Trax, Plush, Trax Café, Audio Abuse and Do Box. A DJ since age 15, Arturo has played throughout the U.S. & regularly spins in the Bay Area, including his own ‘Get Down’ party, inviting established underground house heads to grace the decks on a weekly basis. This radioSF set is from our good friend Ms. E.... Some people may leave their heart in San Francisco but this is one girl who takes my San Francisco heart with me wherever I go... My Bay Area shenanigans (Eklektic:Hektic, KUSF's Future Breaks FM, True Intent Recordings and XLR8R magazine) firmly solidified my love of the magical city and a taste for hi-tech soulful sounds. A passion for positive, music-driven media has fueled my collaborative involvement in all aspects of the biz including my current role @ Microsoft and indie label organization A2IM. Based in Seattle, I continue to work with my longtime SF partner in crime Gabe Real on our digital label Sanguine Recordings. This mix recorded for radioSF includes a few of the city's artists Claude VonStroke, DJG, and UFO! Enjoy... Ms.E // griffingrrl@gmail.com Mike Bee and Audio Angel - July 2000

This is your place to find out what is happening with music in the Bay. peace... About radioSFradioSF: is the spin off of the mid nineties Buggin' Out parties. Primarily based in SF, Buggin' Out helped to define the underground house, DnB and downtempo scenes through collaborations with the Stompy and Sunset heads to the Phunckateck, XLR8R and Eklektik crews. All this grew into the legendary Audible Colors weekly, a Wednesday night SF staple hosting world renowned DJ's at the infamous Top DJ bar. In looking for ways to give back, we've decided to post the live DJ sets from past parties to give a historical context of how SF music has evolved over time. But we are continuing our tradition of documenting the evolution of music in the Bay Area so check back frequently for new live sets and studio sets by some of the Bay Area's best DJ's or even top notch DJ's/bands that are passing through the Bay Area. This is your place to find out what is happening with music in the Bay. peace... Fans of this Show
